Ordering Stair Parts Information
Always make a detailed drawing or layout of your stairway prior to planning your project. This will serve as a quick reference guide and can also be sent to our sales department to assist in your planning.
Iron Balusters:
All iron balusters are 44" in length.
All details are centered 18" from the top.
The balusters come in several colors, texctures and thickness (1/2", 9/16" & 3/4")
Please order the appropriate size of shoe to accommodate your baluster selection.
Iron balusters are available by series, please make sure all the products ordered match in color, bar detail, and size.
Balusters are typically spaced at three (3) per step on stairs, 4" to 4-1/2" on balconies and flat areas.

Solid Cap - Rail has a solid cap for a look without joints except one (1) in lengths above 14'.
Finger Joint (FJ) - Product is fingerjointed on top and bottom.
Engineered - Center Core with top & two sides veneered.
Starting Treads:
8010 Starting Treads - Single End: The length is measured between the notched side and the end of the treqad and can be cut down to fit in the desired location
8015 Starting Treads - Double End: The length is measured between the two (2) notches and can be altered by nor more that 1-1/2" on each side or the volute sill not fit properly. Example: a 48" tread will fit in an opening no more than 51" wide assuming you cuth 1-1/2" of the notch off each side.
Starting Treads come unassembled with top tread, curved base and trim pieces.

Single Side or Double Side Treads:
Mitered Return Treads - (LH Picture Below) Already notched as shown above with edge grain mitered returns.
Plain Treads - (RH Picture below) 11-1/2" are used on installations with no returns - between two walls.
Plain Treads - (RH picture below) 13" are used on installations with returns - open on one or both sides and the return is cut in the field for the proper installation, with edge grain exposed.
